This year has started out very weird; we could all agree on that. I was hoping that me screaming “Jumanji!” would have brought us back to the Covid free world we once lived in: turns out, it didn’t. Luckily technology has allowed us to remain in contact with all of our loved ones. I hope you had a lovely Valentine’s Day this year! Whether you stayed home and watched movies, discovered your next hobby maybe shouldn’t be cooking or baking, or simply had a fun night with your family, I hope you had fun on this special day.
If you didn’t already know, MAHS’s Band concert has been postponed to Monday the 22nd of February due to weather conditions from its original set day. If you wish to listen to our bands play, you can head over to Morris Tigers Live on Youtube and watch a live stream of our concert from the comfort of your home on the 22nd from 5-8 pm. This year MAHS will have limited numbers for the audience due to the pandemic we’re in at the moment.
Since we’re on the topic of Covid, Morris Area Schools is currently adapting to a new system called ZONAR. This system will be used on our school busses to track down when students are on and off the bus. With this new system implemented, tracing students will be much easier. Students who ride busses regularly will be given their own personal cards to scan when entering and exiting the busses during the next few weeks. Now that we have acquired this new adaptation, we hope to slow the spread of Covid-19 furthermore.
