What are the different ways to vote?
With the health crisis that is the Coronavirus, this year’s election is going to be a bit different from the rest. Many are worried that the polling places will be a spreading place for COVID-19, so the government has laid out some alternative options such as using an absentee ballot or voting early by mail. If you would like to vote in person, https://www.co.stevens.mn.us/ has a map that shows you all the polling locations in Morris. The polling places in Morris are The National Guard Armory, Federated Church, and the Evangelical Free Church.
What’s on the ballot?
Everyone knows this year there is a presidential election; however, many other positions are on the state and local ballots. If you vote in Morris, some of the positions on the ballot you may receive include Minnesota U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative for District 7, State Senator for District 12, State Representative for District 12A, and Soil and Water Supervisor (District 1, 4, and 5). All of these positions are up for election on this ballot, as well as many local positions such as four school board members, various judges, and two city council members.
