MADISON, WI — Officials have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash near American Family Drive and American Parkway as 40-year-old Bounpheng C. Souvannasone of Madison.
The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office said he died at the scene. Preliminary findings from the forensic exam showed his death was caused by injuries from the crash.
The wreck was reported around 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 and involved a motorcycle that went around a curve before hitting a light pole and catching fire.
Crash scene and timing near a major Madison roadway
Investigators said the crash happened in the early morning hours along a stretch of road near American Family Drive and American Parkway, an area that carries regular traffic in northeast Madison.
